Non-Molestation Orders? We can help.
Our Family Law Solicitors will help you regarding all types of family law matters including divorce, separations, Non-Molestation and other family-related matters. Our Family Solicitors are available over a phone call, email or in-person, whatever suits you.

A non-molestation order is a way of protecting you and your kids from domestic abuse (whether it’s emotional, psychological, financial, physical, or sexual) by an ‘associated person’. An associated person is generally a family member or someone with whom you’ve had a personal relationship, whether you’ve cohabited or married. If you want to apply for a non-molestation order our expert family solicitors will create your application and a statement outlining the facts of your case. Our family solicitors may want to interview witnesses to write and swear new testimonials if there are any witnesses. We’ll then file the application in court. You may apply on behalf of yourself or a kid.

With the wealth of knowledge and experience, we have one of the greatest teams of professional family lawyers in the United Kingdom. Our expert solicitors guide you in all areas of family law, including separation, divorce, prenuptial agreements, childcare, and financial settlements. An associated person is defined by Family Law Act 1996 under section 62(3), and it applies to the relationships, which include: family members including in-laws, former and current partners, couples who have kids together, and those who live/lived together. Before starting court action, it is often appropriate to write a letter (known as a letter before action) to the defendant.
A non-molestation order is usually granted for six to twelve months. You may want to request an occupation order if you don’t feel secure living with your partner or have already left the house due to violence but want to come back by excluding the offender. An occupation order determines who is allowed to stay in the family home and it also prevents the offender from visiting the area.
