JOBS FOR PARALEGAL

We are in search of recruiting talented paralegals that have experience of working within a legal environment for all areas of law, particularly Immigration, Family & Child Care, Personal Injury, Litigation, Landlord & Tenant, property and Housing for our Office.

WAGES: Dependant upon qualification and experience

STATUS: Self-Employed Contractor

The successful paralegal will be:-

  • Dealing with casework
  • Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases.
  • Dealing with correspondence.
  • Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly.
  • Key Skills Required: Applicants must have completed their legal practice course or must be enrolled part-time (weekends)
  • A good academic background and a minimum of 2:1 in a law degree.
  • Legal experience as caseworker/advisor.
  • An ability to market the Company
  • Business acumen
  • Excellent skills

Training contracts may be offered to candidates who comply with internal criteria and have passed their legal Practice Course.

Required Employee Staff: Legal Consultant/Paralegal

Salary Rate New Entrant: Negotiable

Qualification: Minimum Law Graduate is desirable for this role.

Experience preferred – Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and knowledge of the legal process. The candidate will have experience in secretarial and administrative practices, including case management systems, accurate typing, word-processing and audio-typing skills and experience of MS Word and Outlook. It is mandatory to speak and understand Asian Languages i.e. China, Bangla (Sylhet Dialect, and formal), Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi.

The candidate will also have

  1. Demonstrable client care skills and will be used to a very fast-paced environment
  2. The ability to use their own initiative, work effectively under pressure and understand the need to produce excellent work to strict deadlines.

Key Role: This is cogent to have staff communication and assistance among the team to run the legal business smoothly. The new required employees would liaise with other senior staff to coordinate the activities of solicitors and assist the paralegals on law and legal procedure. They would provide legal advice to individuals or clients within the law firm. The new employees would make drafts and negotiate contracts on behalf of employers. They may be obliged to advise employers, local and national government and other organisations on aspects of law and legislative implications of decisions made. They would represent public and private organisations in court as necessary. The Key role will include Provide Legal Advice to individuals under supervision; Draft and negotiating contracts on behalf of Employers; advising employers or other organisations on aspects of law; drafting cover letters to different applications, Grounds of appeal &Judicial Review, witness statement; skeleton arguments etc. Taking instructions/notes from the clients under supervision. Preparing Appeal Bundles. Attending interviews and conferences with counsels and clients on behalf of the firm.
Areas of Law:  Immigration or Family Law, Personal Injury or all of three.

Required Self Employment Staff:  Assistant Solicitor / Solicitor

Salary Rate New Entrant: 50-60%
Qualification: Minimum Law Graduate is desirable for this role.
Experience preferred – Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years experience in the relevant area of law.
Areas of Law: Family Law, Personal Injury, Conveyancing & Civil Litigation.
